Through our Strategic Technology Alliances, Whelan can deploy a myriad of technology tools to our security officers and security managers on the same robust and virtual WhelanVIEW platform. This platform allows our officers to capture and report critical information from the field, while supervisors can track their exact locations. In turn, this presents you with an extraordinary “view” into your security operations. Being alerted electronically of incidents and events in the field within seconds of their occurrence, gives you the distinct advantage of being able to mitigate security issues in timely and efficient manner.
At Whelan, we utilize T.A.P.S., an automated payroll, billing and scheduling system. This automated management system integrates scheduling, payroll, and client billing services. The system ensures you that your shifts are staffed with qualified personnel; that our officers are paid correctly; and that we generate clear, concise, and accurate invoices.
This system is web-based – and real time. Managers can revise schedules as needed; and the compliance modules capture and track training qualifications. This system allows managers to verify the availability of qualified personnel to accommodate scheduling changes; and it eliminates scheduling inefficiencies.
PostAlert is an automated, interactive tele-monitoring dispatch system that ensures officers safety and consistent post coverage. With PostAlert, officers call a toll-free number at the beginning of their shift and at periodic intervals while on post. The system verifies the call and that the appropriate qualified security officer is working. In the event of tardiness, absence, or a missed call, the system immediately notifies Field Supervision and Account Management so that we are always proactively responding to situations.
TeamTime is a versatile, robust, time and attendance tracking system that allows Whelan to meet the diverse needs of small and large companies alike. This module completely automates the timekeeping process. Coupled with the benefits of PostAlert, TeamTime allows employees to use any touch-tone telephone to clock in and out of job sites. TeamTime interacts with our Automated Scheduling, Payroll and Billing System (T.A.P.S.) for efficient and accurate payroll and invoice processing.
Whelan has recently developed an interactive learning management system which integrates with TAPS. Every Whelan employee can log into the web-based training academy and access and enroll in a wide range of training and professional development modules.
Through the offering of a web-based incident reporting system, our management team and clients can be kept abreast of developments and incidents in the field. This system simplifies and streamlines record keeping and helps create standardized and legible reports - summarizing incidents. The system also allows managers an opportunity to analyze trends.
At Whelan, we offer our clients a tracking system that ensures that our security officers are checking vital points at specified times on their tours of inspection. The system allows us to monitor security officer performance, measure productivity, and capture on-site information to identify areas of concern including maintenance problems, safety concerns, and security risks. Each patrol inspection is electronically recorded to ensure service quality and to provide us with verification that the services were provided.
At Whelan, we have a national communication center at our corporate headquarters. This center tracks and records contract compliance through TAPS and PostAlert. This team is available to coordinate emergency response, twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week.
